UPDATES & NEWS
Rob Gronkowski was bursting, planting, and cutting during the early portions of Thursday’s practice open to the media, and doesn’t look like he’s having any limitations. Whether he’ll be ready to play in the first month of the season is another matter.
Boy that last sentence above really takes the wind out of the sails, doesn't it? Gronk is doing just fine in his own private little rehab world, but how he'll fare against defenders hitting him every step of the way is yet to be determined. We'll continue to track his progress as we get closer to fantasy draft season and see just how much time on the actual practice field he puts in once training camp opens.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Aramis Ramirez confirmed that 2015 will be his final season.
Ramirez will turn 37 in June in what will be his 18th major league season. He was a legitimate 30-home run threat during the prime of his career, but now here we are 10 years past that prime and he's more of a 15-home run threat these days. Injuries were a big part of his decline and he's missed an awful lot of games over the years, but considering how bad the third base position looks this year, one last go-around with A-Ram might not be the worst thing in the world. Just make sure you have a viable back-up option. Analysis: Howard Bender
