Fantasy Player Updates & News  2016 MLB Draft Guide Is Here!

LeBron James says he is probably done with IV's unless he cramps up Friday or Saturday.

Prepare yourself, folks. Prepare yourself for a barrage of "health" updates on LeBron as the NBA community continues to try and blow every little detail into a front-page headline regardless of how inane the information is. LeBron is done with the IV fluids, but now he only drinks Fiji water. The folks at Crystal Geyser and Dasani are still up in arms over the switch, but King LeBron has decreed Fiji water as the only water he will drink. Special thanks to Sarah Silverman for alerting the world as to how important an issue this is.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Colts expect Dwayne Allen to leave in free agency.

Allen has been a solid red zone target for the Colts but he had been in a time share with Coby Fleener during his years with the Colts. He will have a chance to sign with a team who is looking to use him as their No.1 TE in the offseason. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Alonzo Gee is in the Pelicans starting lineup on Thursday.

The Pelicans have been starting Bryce DeJean-Jones at shooting guard with Tyreke Evans out of the lineup but DeJean-Jones had his 10-day contract expire at midnight last night and he has yet to sign a new deal while he negotiates with multiple teams for a more permanent deal. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Bryan Colangelo is believed to be one of the finalists for the Nets general manager vacancy.

The Nets have recently been rumored to be more buyers than sellers at the coming trade deadline which makes some sense seeing as they are without a first round pick for the next few years. Colangelo was most recently the President of the Toronto Raptors before stepping down from the position in 2013. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Kris Humphries (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game.

With Humphries out of the lineup the Wizards will use a rotation of Nene and Jared Dudley at the power forward position. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Tyler Skaggs (elbow) said he has already thrown five bullpen sessions this offseason and everything is going well.

Skaggs is working his way back from Tommy John surgery which forced him to miss the entire 2015 season. He should be ready to pitch during spring training and compete for an Angels rotation spot. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Lane Adams has cleared waivers and has been invited to Yankees spring training.

Adams appeared in 134 games between Double-A and Triple-A last season, hitting .281 with 72 runs, 16 home runs, 62 RBI and 31 stolen bases. Over seven minor league seasons Adams is a career .270 hitter making it unlikely that he will make an impact on the 2016 MLB season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Mat Latos turned down a one-year deal worth $3 million and up to $6 million in incentives with another team before signing with the White Sox.

Latos struggled in 2015, going 4-10 with a 4.95 ERA over 24 games between the Marlins, Dodgers and Angels. His deal with the White Sox will let him prove that 2015 was a fluke and allow him to re-establish his value on the free agency market in 2017. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Gary Neal (leg) has been ruled out for Thursday's game.

Neal missed the Wizards last game against the Knicks due to this same leg injury but with the All-Star break upon us there is little reason for Neal to play if he is not 100%. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Brock Osweiler hopes to be in the Broncos future plans.

Osweiler performed admirably for the Broncos in place of the injured Peyton Manning, completing 61.8-percent of his passes for 1,967 yards with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. It seems unlikely that Manning returns to Denver in 2016 which would pave the way for Osweiler to be the starting quarterback for the Broncos next season. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Raiders have signed a lease that will keep them in Oakland for the 2016 season and the Raiders have an option for 2017 and 2018 as well.

The Raiders were hoping to move to LA but have the city of Oakland will get to keep the silver and black for at least one more season while the team works out a deal for a new stadium with the city. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Rays are interested in signing Ryan Webb.

Another veteran relief pitcher who could benefit the Rays bullpen, and another relief pitcher who should be left off of your fantasy team. Webb has a career record of 17-18, and has never recorded a single save throughout his six years in the league. He has no upside, and his floor is as low as it could possibly be. Analysis: Ari Gilberg

Rays are having advanced contract talks with Tommy Hunter although a deal is not yet imminent.

While Hunter is a veteran relief pitcher who could help bolster the Rays bullpen, his services are not needed on your fantasy team. Hunter has recorded double digit saves just once in his seven-year career, and holds a mediocre 4.31 ERA. He has no real fantasy value. Analysis: Ari Gilberg

Nets have called the Hawks to discuss a trade for Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap.

Unless the Nets are willing to part ways with Brook Lopez and/or Thaddeus Young, it's unlikely they're able to pull off a trade of this magnitude. Most likely, they're just inquiring to see just how desperate the Hawks really are at trying to free up cap space. As a result, it's doubtful this trade actually materializes. Analysis: Ari Gilberg

Matt Hasselbeck is leaning towards returning for the 2016 season.

After nearly two decades in the NFL, it seems that Hasselbeck isn't done yet. While he played admirably last season, it was evident his 40-year-old body just isn't what it once was, as Hasselbeck was forced to endure numerous injuries before eventually being placed on inured reserve. If he does return, the Colts will most likely carry three quarterbacks into the season as a precautionary measure. Analysis: Ari Gilberg

Jets are said to really like reserve offensive lineman Brent Qvale.

While the Jets may "really like" Qvale, that has absolutely no bearing in terms of fantasy purposes. Qvale is simply a reserve offensive lineman the Jets like as a backup. Even if he does become a starter, it's not like you have any open offensive linemen spots on your fantasy team. Analysis: Ari Gilberg

Make sure you know the data when before you consider diving in early at the starting pitcher position. The information seems to suggest that injuries are almost certain to occur at that position.
