Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said RB Arian Foster would fill the roles that RBs Kevin Faulk and Danny Woodhead did with the New England Patriots.

A few weeks ago we learned that Foster would be used out of the backfield more under the O'Brien regime. He clarified Foster's role today, implying through Faulk and Woodhead that Foster would not need a replacement on third-downs. Foster has shouldered a massive workload over the last few years, so it's hard to know whether or not this helps or hurts his fantasy value. In the short-term, it probably helps. ANALYST:

Rangers manager Jeff Banister told reporters that the final roster spot will come down between Delino DeShields and Carlos Peguero.

DeShields was the favorite coming into camp but batting an underwhelming .235/.278/.382 this spring has made this a tight race. The Rangers like the speed he brings as an extra outfielder. The 22-year-old has never played above Double-A and is unlikely to see much playing time with the Rangers, but he has enough upside to justify a roster spot.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Indians first baseman Nick Swisher will serve as a designated hitter Wednesday in Scottsdale against the Giants,

It has been a slow burn all off-season for the Indians' 1st baseman but the work seems to be finally paying off. Swisher has made nice progress recently but it looks like he'll begin the season on the disabled list. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Carlos Carrasco is scheduled to pitch on Friday. Carrasco is out out of town for the birth of his child, and is expected to rejoin the club Tuesday night.

Carrasco has been dominant most of the spring. His pitches have sat in the 95 mph range and topped out at 97 mph. The 28-year-old opened up the eyes of Fantasy Owners down the stretch last year and has been watched closely this spring. He will look to carry a big fantasy value with a full year in the starting rotation.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

The Angels optioned pitcher Nick Tropeano to Triple-A Salt Lake Tuesday.

Tropeano posted a 4.41 ERA and 6/5 K/BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings this spring in his competition for a spot in the Angels' initial rotation. There is no real fantasy value with Tropeano.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Manager Joe Girardi said Didi Gregorius had "a little bit of swelling" in his sprained wrist on Monday. He's questionable for Wednesday.

The Yankees would like to see the swelling in Gregorius' left wrist go down before they are able to give an estimate for his return. He suffered the injury diving for a ball on Saturday. Gregorius still feels like he can be ready to go on Opening Day. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Kris Humphries (groin) did not practice Tuesday. He's questionable for Wednesday.

We have not seen Humphries on the court since February 26th and there is still no timetable for his return. Kevin Seraphin and Drew Gooden have been the beneficiaries of his absence from the lineup. Both of these guys are not fantasy options especially in your playoffs. Humphries can be dropped everywhere until he is cleared to play. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Sean Doolittle has played catch twice, the smallest of steps on the road that will eventually lead him back to the A’s bullpen.

Nothing really new to report here as he continues to slowly work his arm back into shape. He has played catch twice which is just small steps on his road to recovery. Doolittle was diagnosed with a slight tear in his rotator cuff two months ago. If he continues to make progress, a return in early May is realistic. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Tim Hardaway Jr (wrist) probably won't play Wednesday.

We saw Hardaway Jr. sit alongside Alexey Shved on Friday night while Langston Galloway got all the minutes he could handle. If he can't go again on Wednesday night, we could also see Ricky Ledo get worked into the rotation. Galloway is still the superior option in standard leagues. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Joe Panik (ankle) is not in Tuesday's lineup.

There is nothing serious going on here, the Giants are just being cautious after Panik tweaked the ankle on Monday in Cactus League action. It looks like this is all just a precautionary measure. His current ADP is 337 while his positional rank is 24th.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Doug McDermott (back) did not practice Tuesday.

It was reported on Saturday that McDermott suffered a setback on Saturday which caused him to miss a game. It looks like now, it could be more than a one game setback. He has not been a consistent part of the rotation, so his absence won't have many fantasy implications.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Dion Waiters (foot) did not practice Tuesday.

RIght now, Waiters should be considered questionable for the Thunder's Wednesday night match up against the Mavericks. Coach Brooks said his foot is feeling better but still not 100%. Andre Roberson has already been ruled out, which means Anthony Morrow could be in line for all the minutes he can handle if Waiters is unable to play.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Willie Bloomquist has said he is fully recovered coming off microfracture knee surgery in August.

The goal was to have Bloomquist ready to go for Opening Day and all signs point to that being a reality. Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon was very pleased with his progress and is looking to play him as their primary utility player.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Kyle Gibson is still dealing with flu-like symptoms but remains scheduled to start the team's spring finale Saturday.

It looks like Gibson will be fine to take his turn in the Twins' spring rotation later this week. We expect him to open the season as Minnesota's fourth starter. His current overall ADP is 446, while his position rank is 127. Analysis: Drew Phelps
