49ers placed RB Carlos Hyde on active/NFI list.
No news yet on what the reasoning actually is, but he's not expected to miss a ton of time. Hyde needs the reps in order to establish himself as the lead guy so this is concerning from a fantasy perspective. The Niners backfield should be an intriguing news story throughout the preseason. Saints release DT Brodrick Bunkley.
A failed physical did Bunkley in on this one as he apparently has not fully healed from a torn quad he sustained in November. Once healthy he could be a useful run stopper in the middle of the line for a team but at 31-years old he's almost assuredly on the back end of his career at this point. Analysis: Matt Selz
Ryan Zimmerman has returned to the Nationals lineup on Tuesday.
The former third baseman has missed a month and a half with plantar fasciitis after struggling for the first part of the season. Zimmerman has struggled offensively all season batting .209 in 56 games and then followed that up with a 1-15 performance during his rehab assignment. If you have Ryan Zimmerman on your roster, until he starts performing he should likely remain on your bench. Analysis: Matt Selz
Jayson Werth has returned to the Nationals lineup on Tuesday.
Werth has been out for two months with a couple of broken bones in his wrist. Overall this season has been a struggle for the All-Star caliber Left Fielder only having managed to play 27 games for the Nationals. His activation means that he should be ready to go on fantasy rosters as well, but wrist injuries can have a side effect of sapping power. Analysis: Matt Selz
