Fantasy Player Updates & News  2016 MLB Draft Guide Is Here!

Randal Grichuk has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis.

Grichuk appeared in nine games for the Cardinals earlier this year and struggled hitting only .143 over 21 at bats. Shane Robinson was sent down to make room for Grichuk on the roster. This year in Triple- A Grichuk was hitting .315 with a .952 OPS.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba

Update: Mason Plumlee received stitches to close up a cut above his left eye.

Plumlee left the game late due to a cut above his left eye, and received an unknown amount of stitches. Plumlee said he'll play on Monday. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Tony Snell will start Saturday against the Timberwolves.

Snell will get the start on Saturday, with Jimmy Butler out (knee). It's unclear how much time Butler will be out for, but Snell will get starts until Butler is back.  Analysis: Ben Diamond

Mario Chalmers is available to play Saturday.

Chalmers was ejected form Friday's game after committing a flagrant foul penalty two. There were some concerns over him being suspended, but the league will not discipline him further it appears. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Update: Pau Gasol (hand) will play Saturday.

Gasol missed a game due to a hand issue, but the injury doesn't look overly serious. Barring any setbacks, Gasol should be fine Saturday and going forward. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Mason Plumlee has a cut over right eye and is headed to the locker room.

Unless Plumlee requires stitches, there's a good chance the medical staff can stop the bleeding na he can return unrestricted. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Pau Gasol (hand) will warmup with the intention of playing.

Gasol missed a game due to a hand issue, but the injury doesn't look overly serious. Barring any setbacks Gasol should be good to go on Saturday. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Mike Dunleavy (back) will play Saturday against the Timberwolves.

Dunleavy has yet to play this season due to offseason back surgery. Dunleavy was solid last season, but isn't an intriguing option in fantasy. He'll be very limited in term of playing time coming back and is unlikely to see significant minutes for a while. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Coach Gregg Popovich says Tim Duncan (knee) is getting close to returning.

There is speculation that the Spurs may hold out the big man until after All-Star break, although that is not confirmed. Consider him day-to-day at this point. David West will see some additional minutes with Duncan out of action again. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Nikola Pekovic will not play on Saturday.

That makes for three consecutive games that he has missed. He has not been a big offensive or defensive force this season, being buried on the depth chart, so do not fret over his absence on Saturday. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play on Saturday.

Seven games is now how many Martin has missed with the wrist problem. Zach Lavine will see more time in the backcourt with Martin missing yet another contest. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
