Paul George's 21 fourth-quarter points in Game 5 Wednesday were the most by any player facing elimination in the last 15 postseasons, per Elias Sports.

Mazel tov, Paul. A job well done. He had 31 points in total on the night and really took control in the fourth quarter hitting shots from all around the floor. He's going to need a similar performance in Game 6 if the Pacers hope to stave off elimination once again.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Brian Hartline is visiting the Texans Thursday.

Hartline was just in Chicago visiting the Bears and now moves to a potentially better situation in Houston. Should Andre Johnson move on, DeAndre Hopkins would likely fill his role while Hartline could take care of the possession receiver work he does so well. Analysis: Howard Bender

DeMeco Ryans is expected to be back with Eagles in 2015.

While much of the focus is now on Kiko Alonso, Ryans is also expected to make a significant impact on defense this year as well. He missed all of 2014 with a torn Achilles but in the year before, he recorded 127 total tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions. Analysis: Howard Bender

Rangers LHP Derek Holland expects to throw a bullpen session Friday not Thursday as originally thought.

Holland was going to pitch Sunday, but with the bullpen session pushed back, his schedule is now being shifted around. The Rangers are being very careful with Holland with the hopes that he won't incur any setbacks and will be ready to pitch come Opening Day. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yoan Lopez threw in a simulated game Wednesday and is now scheduled to pitch on Sunday instead of Saturday.

The 21-year old has three years of experience from Cuba but he is still expected to start at one of the lower levels in the Diamondbacks' organization. The phenom is said to be able to hit triple-digits on the radar gun and the expectations are prettty high right now. All eyes will be on him come Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender

Mariners 1B Ji-Man Choi is scheduled for surgery Thursday to repair a broken leg suffered on a play in Wednesday's game. He's expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

It was a devastating injury for the 23-year old and he will now miss at least the first half of the season following surgery. We'll re-visit his fantasy value once he fully recovers. Analysis: Howard Bender

Bruce Rondon will throw at least one more live batting practice session before he sees game action

The reports on Rondon's recovery from Tommy John surgery have been positive. He's thrown a few bullpen session over the last couple of weeks and hasn't suffered any setbacks since throwing from a mound. The Tigers could certainly use a bounce-back from him, especially with them still relying on Joe Nathan in the ninth. Analysis: Howard Bender

Phil Coke signed with the Cubs on a minor-league deal.

Earlier reports did not unveil the team with whom he was negotiating. He stands a good chance of pitching out of the Cubs bullpen should he prove himself capable. The minor league deal keeps it as a nice low-risk move for the North Siders. Analysis: Howard Bender

Mitchell Boggs says that he should have had his hernia surgery earlier. "I kick myself for not taking care of it sooner than I did," said Boggs.

The problem first arose back in 2013 and Boggs' refusal to deal with it properly has pushed him from potential big league closer to journeyman reliever looking to make an impact somewhere. Now that the problem has been addressed, he could turn into a solid asset in the Sox' bullpen. Fantasy-wise, the benefits are minimal though. Analysis: Howard Bender

Henry Owens will make his spring-training debut Friday.

While Owens' ERA jumped with his move to Triple-A last season, his K:BB spiked, leaving the Red Sox believing that he could be ready fro a jump to the majors soon. He'll debut this spring but will likely open the year at Triple-A to hone his craft. Should he dominate, the team could potentially bring him up for the second half. Analysis: Howard Bender

Buccaneers have brought back CB Mike Jenkins on another one-year deal.

Jenkins was robbed of his season last year due to a torn pectoral muscle. Before that, he was one of the top guys in the Bucs' secondary so they will happily bring him back. He should be worthwhile in IDP leagues so long as he retains a starting job. Analysis: Howard Bender

Hank Conger is dealing with a sore left wrist.

With the Astros saying that Evan Gattis will not play behind the plate at all this season, Conger steps in as the unequivocal back-up to Jason Castro. He's not really competing with Max Stassi who is seeing time in camp right now. Conger is day-to-day but should be just fine in a few days. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Boston Celtics are close to signing JaVale McGee.

McGee will be joining his third team in under a month now as he has gone from the Nuggets to the Clippers and now to the Celtics. He will provide frontcourt depth for Boston but won't see enough consistent work to be fantasy-worthy. Analysis: Howard Bender

Agent Drew Rosenhaus confirms that Darnell Dockett has signed a two-year deal with the 49ers worth $7.5 million.

The deal cannot be made official until the free agency period officially opens on March 10, but everything is in place apparently. Dockett missed the entire 2014 season with a torn ACL, but should be more than ready to take part in the 49ers training camp and offseason program.  Analysis: Howard Bender Mobile App
