Clippers point guard Darren Collison "definitely opting out" to become an unrestricted free agent this summer
Collison reportedly was quoted saying he will opt out of his contract with the Clippers and become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Collison will likely seek out a team that needs a starting point guard and he should be a hot commodity based on his talents and the way he played this season, especially when he had the opportunity to start while Chris Paul was out. Collison averaged 14.8 points, 5.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, with 54 steals in 35 games as a starter this past season.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Nikola Mirotic scored a game high 29 points with nine rebounds and one block in the Bulls 96-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday.
With Taj Gibson out of the lineup Mirotic stepped up in a big way as the Bulls only big man off the bench. Gibson was seen in a walking boot leaving the locker room after injuring his ankle against the Timberwolves on Friday which could mean more playing time for Mirotic. Earlier this week Gibson sat out because of an illness and Nikola impressed, scoring 16 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Its likely given his prior role in the rotation that Mirotic could be available in your league and is worth an add. In daily leagues as long as Gibson remains out Mirotic should be considered a must start due to his very low price tag. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
