Manager Bruce Bochy said Tim Lincecum started to develop a blister Wednesday.
Tough break for Lincecum who was pulled after pitching five innings of no hit baseball. Lincecum has an atrocious WHIP this season but has now allowed three runs or fewer in 8 of his 11 starts this season. If Timmy can get some control under him he could be looking at a strong rest of the year. If you are a Lincecum owner stick with Fantasy Alarm as we continue to provide updates on how his blister heals before his next start.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba
Mike Pelfrey was demoted to the bullpen for the start of the season.
Pelfrey lost out to Tommy Milone for the fifth starter's job, but that hardly seems like a surprise. His move to the pen means that he's probably not even going to see much of a chance even if the Twins need a spot start as they can always bring back Trevor May who also looked better than Pelfrey. You can feel good about ignoring Pelfrey in all fantasy formats. Analysis: Howard Bender
Danny Santana will be the Twins Opening Day starting shortstop.
Eduardo Escobar and Eduardo Nunez were both being considered, but the job was really Santana's to lose. He picked up right where he left off last year, batting .341 (15-for-44), but he did strike out nine times to one walk. We don't expect him to post another .400-plus BABIP this year, so don't expect the batting average to stay as high as it was last season. Analysis: Howard Bender
