Glen Perkins picked up the win after pitching a scoreless ninth inning against the Rangers on Tuesday.

Perkins is now 2-0 with 14 saves through his first 23.1 innings in 2014, owning a 3.09 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in that stretch. He has managed a 31:3 K:BB thus far, which has led to his early success, but he will need to start limiting his hits allowed before taking the next step in his progression as a top closer in the American League.
