David Ortiz went 1-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, a run scored and a walk against the Braves on Monday.
Despite Monday's home run, Ortiz has gone 2-for-24 (.083 BA) over his last seven games, with his four RBI being just his first in that stretch. He is now sitting on a .270 average with 12 homers and 29 RBI on the season, but should be able to turn things back in the right direction as long as he can continue to be patient at the plate and keep the walk coming (0.79 BB/K).ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Vance Worley will start the season in the bullpen.
The competition for the final spot in the rotation was between Worley and Jeff Locke. Worley's 5.29 spring ERA outperformed Locke's 9.00, but the team wants Worley to be a stable figure in their bullpen. Worley's fantasy value takes a hit as he won't be a starter for a sneaky good Pittsburgh ball club. Analysis: Colby Conway
Update: Blazers have made the Tim Frazier signing official.
The former Penn State player will remain under contract with Portland for the rest of the season. Frazier was selected as the NBA Development League Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 7.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game. However, Frazier won't be worth adding in leagues unless an injury bug would hit Portland. Analysis: Colby Conway
