Michael Pineda will throw two innings in an extended spring training start Tuesday.
It would seem that Pineda is nearing a rehab assignment here as they Yankees have steadily increased his workload over the last two weeks. He'll probably need a couple of starts before returning, but a late-June return could still be a reality rather than just wishful thinking.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Carl Crawford exited Monday night's game with tightness in his right side.
It was only a matter of time before the glass-made Crawford cracked in some capacity. It's unknown whether or not he'll need a DL stint to rid him of the tightness, but if he does Scott Van Slyke and Alex Guerrero are likely to fill in for him. Guerrero has been among the hottest hitters in baseball, in a limited role, and would become mixed league relevant if/when he finds himself in the lineup. Don Mattingly, however, doesn't appear to be Guerrero's biggest fan. Let's hope he's not pigeon-holed to pinch-hitting duties. Analysis: Spencer Silva
