Serge Ibaka (calf) says the decision to play Sunday is his. He's listed as a game-time decision.

Well if the decision is his and he decides to do anything but play, then we've learned quite a bit about his character. Given the fact that this is the Western Conference Finals here, Ibaka better suck it up and play.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Miguel Cabrera (calf) will do some light agility work on Friday.

Miggy is expected back around the 15th of August, but the Tigers have already decided to sell this year. It's possible they could make a late push once their best player is back on the field, but Detroit's offense isn't the problem.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Bears CB Tim Jennings doesn't expect any discipline from the NFL from his court case in Georgia.

Jennings is likely correct because he didn't plead guilty to the DWI, but to reckless driving instead. It would be surprising to see Jennings get punished, but Roger Goodell's punishment system is so arbitrary nobody really knows.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Rays LHP Drew Smyly (shoulder) will make his second rehab start Friday Class-A Charlotte.

Smyly is working his way back from a partial labrum tear. He was beaten up in his first rehab start to the tune of four runs over 2 1/3 innings. We don't really see this experiment to not have surgery ending well.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

James Loney is not in the Rays lineup on Friday.

Just a day off for Loney against a left-hander. Logan Forsythe will bat cleanup and play first base in his place.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Jose Ureña has been recalled from Triple-A New Orleans.

Urena will take Dan Haren's place in the Marlins rotation. In seven starts for Miami he's posted a 4.04 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, with a 19/17 strikeout to walk ratio. He's not a great fantasy option. Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Donovan Solano has been reinstated from the paternity list.

Solano returns to the club and will continue to be used as a pinch-hitter off the bench. He has just nine hits in 62 at-bats. Ignore him.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Orioles recall RHP Mychal Givens from Double-A Bowie.

Givens will take Bud Norris' spot on the active roster. The 25-year-old is a little old to still be at the Double-A level, but has 1.79 ERA in the minors.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Garrett Jones has been designated for assignment.

The Yankees needed to make room for Dustin Ackley. Jones batted just .215 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 144 at-bats. This might be the end of the road for the 34-year-old.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

Blue Jays acquire OF Ben Revere from the Phillies, pending medical reviews.

The Blue Jays remain incredibly busy. Rever gives them a legitiamte lead off option so they no longer have to have Troy Tulowitzki in that role. Revere will play left field and has the chance to score a boatload of runs at the top of Toronto's dynamic lineup.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

David Wright is taking ground balls at third base prior to Friday's game.

Same old news with Wright. At this point it's irrelevant what he's doing until he appears in a Mets uniform at Citi Field. He's been out since April 14th due to spinal stenosis. We don't care about him taking ground balls. There's still no timetable for his return.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein

It’s still uncertain when Joique Bell will return to action following offseason surgery on his knee and Achilles.

Bell has been hobbled for most of the offseason now. He better rush to get back on the field because impressive rookie Ameer Abdullah is hot on his heels. Bell could be out of a starting job very, very shortly.  Analysis: Brian Rothstein
