Bucs have reportedly opened contract talks with All Pro DT Gerald McCoy.

McCoy had a big year last season, recording 50 tackles (35 solo), nine sacks, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery, and is signed through the end of this season. But the Bucs, understandably, don't want him to hit the open market, at least not until after they're done with their negotiations. They'll continue to try and hammer out an extension throughout the summer.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Calvin Johnson is not practicing Tuesday.

This is precautionary for the Lions. It is basically every week that the Lions limit Calvin Johnson in practice and with good reason. He is their premiere player and they do not want to risk injury and assure that he plays on Thursday against the Packers. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Lance Moore is not practicing Tuesday.

Lance Moore was forced to leave the Lions Thanksgiving Day game against the Eagles with an ankle injury. He is obviously still feeling the effects and will be limited this week. You should consider him questionable at best for this Thursday's game against the Packers. Corey Fuller will get his snaps, if Moore can't go. Analysis: Drew Phelps

The Bills have placed DT Kyle Williams on injured reserve.

The move officially frees up a spot for the Bills to help replace Williams on the active roster. Williams had surgery on his meniscus last week which ended his season. The Bills defensive line has been torn apart by injuries and now will have to rely on recently signed players like T.J. Barnes, LaVar Edwards and Kevin Reddick.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Bills sign DT T.J. Barnes off the Jets practice squad.

The Bills have lost both Kyle Williams and Alex Carrington for the season. Buffalo needed to add depth back to their defensive line and have decided to bring up T.J. Barnes off the practice squad. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Philly Brown is expected to participate in a light practice on Tuesday.

The Panthers have not skipped a beat on offense without the services of Philly Brown over the past couple weeks. He will be just another weapon at the disposal of Cam Newton. Brown does not have much if any fantasy value at this point. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Kobe Bryant (rest) will miss shootaround on Tuesday.

The Lakers are going to do all they can do to make sure that Kobe Bryant will make to the end of his final NBA season. He will get days off, practices off and games off throughout the season as he says goodbye to the league and hasn't he earned that? Analysis: Drew Phelps

Bills coach Rex Ryan said he is not sure if Karlos Williams (shoulder) will be able to play Week 13.

This will mean that LeSean McCoy's usage rate will go up in Week 13 against the Texans. McCoy finally looks healthy and has been playing like the guy we all love on our Fantasy Football teams. Karlos Williams has been a nice story but McCoy is the featured back in this offense. Check back for more updates on whether he will play on Sunday.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Ben Roethlisberger said he's fine Tuesday. He passed all concussion tests.

It looks like we will see Ben Roethlisberger start for the Steelers on Sunday in a game with big playoff implications against the Indianapolis Colts. This will mean good things for Antonio Brown and company as we head into the Fantasy Football playoffs. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Joe Wieland avoids arbitration and re-signs with the Dodgers.

Wieland spent most of last season with the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate and posted a 4.59 ERA with a 7.28 K/9 over 113 2/3 innings. The 25-year old right-hander once showed some nice promise at the minor league level, but has since faded and seems unlikely to make any sort of impression at the big league level. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but he's not costing the Dodgers too much here. Analysis: Howard Bender

The New York Knicks have recalled Cleanthony Early from the NBA D-League's Westchester Knicks.

With Carmelo Anthony battling an illness and looking like a game-time decision for Tuesday, the Knicks will bring up Early to serve as potential frontcourt depth. He seems unlikely to make any sort of a fantasy impact. Analysis: Howard Bender

Head coach Jason Garrett still believes Tony Romo has a lot of football left in him.

While that may be, we won't get a fair or legitimate evaluation of Romo until he clears this latest hurdle with regard to the collarbone injury. It doesn't sound like it's a career-threatening injury, but between the back and the collarbone, he's lost an awful lot of time to injury lately and it's real tough to ever trust anyone like that. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Indians have signed RHP Joba Chamberlain to minor league deal with invite to spring training.

Chamberlain posted a 4.88 ERA last year between time spent with Detroit and Kansas City. He's not the fireballer he once was and still has command issues he's never overcome. He has no fantasy value as it would even be a stretch to see him win a bullpen job with the Indians. Analysis: Howard Bender

Chris Johnson (broken tibia) is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.

Horrible news for those who had been riding Johnson here in his return season. He'll miss the rest of the season which obviously blankets your fantasy playoffs and won't appear in the NFL playoffs unless the Cardinals go to the Super Bowl and even then he's be a long shot. With Andre Ellington also battling turf toes, you're going to want to put the rest of your FAAB money on David Johnson. He's the new No. 1 stud in Arizona. Analysis: Howard Bender

Marqise Lee will have an expanded role if Allen Hurns' concussion lingers.

So long as he stays healthy, that is. Should aHurns miss time with the concussion, Lee, who has battled a hamstring injury all year, would be the next in line among the rest of the wide receivers. He won't have the same rapport with Blake Bortles, but he should still see a fair amount of targets. Analysis: Howard Bender

Ryan Mathews still hasn't cleared NFL concussion protocol.

Another day goes by and Mathews still has yet to pass his concussion tests. He's now missed the last two games and looks to be in danger of missing Week 13 at New England if he is not granted clearance soon. Consider him day-to-day still. Analysis: Howard Bender
