Mike Trout homered in his return to the Angels lineup on Friday as he went 2-for-4 adding a base hit to go with the RBI and run scored in the Angels 6-1 victory over the Royals.
It looks like the day off may have helped Trout as he belted his ninth home run of the season and his second in his last six games. With the two hits, Trout extended his hit streak to four games and is now 4-for-7 over his last two games.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Jarrod Parker (elbow) hit 92 mph in his simulated game on Saturday.
Parker's surgery was in March of last year, knocking him out for all of 2014. Recovery has gone well for him, and he made a big step earlier in the Spring by throwing to live hitters. This was his second Tommy John procedure, so it's not a surprise that the Athletics are taking it slow with him. Parker had a decent year in 2013, his second full season in the majors, throwing 197 innings en route to a 3.97 ERA and 134 strikeouts. He's not a viable fantasy option this year, though, due to his injury. Analysis: Ben Diamond
