Ian Desmond went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored for the only run production of the game for the Nats who fell to the Pirates 3-1 Thursday.
It appears as your patience with Desmond is now starting to pay off, finally, as the home run was his eighth of the season and third over his last seven games. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Adam Lind went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs, and two RBI, on Wednesday night vs the Dodgers.
On Wednesday night, Lind connected with a hanging breaking ball in the first inning off Dodgers starter Joe Wieland for his fifth home run of the season. Quietly, Lind has become one of the more serviceable fantasy options at first base, as his slash line sits at an impressive .323/.396/.591, while his five home runs and 15 RBI are just enough power to render him an imposing bat in the middle of the Brewers order. It is tough to tell how long he will be able to maintain this type of production, but the promising sign is that once upon a time, Lind was a legitimate threat in the batters box while playing in Toronto, so he might just be returning to form.
