UPDATES & NEWS
Mike Trout is not in the Angels starting lineup on Wednesday.
Trout was removed in the 5th inning of Tuesday night's game due to a sore leg. The team is saying it is not anything serious, but want to play it safe and at least give him one game off to be sure. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Jed Lowrie left Monday's game with a thumb injury. He's going back to Houston Tuesday for an MRI.
In all likelihood Jonathan Villar or Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for Lowrie if he misses extended time, but there's an outside chance the first-place Astros call up uber-prospect Carlos Correa for his first major league taste. Correa is murdering the Texas League (Double-A) to the tune of .375/.429/.719 with four home runs and two stolen bases. He's worth a speculative add in competitive leagues until the situation becomes more clear. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow has hinted that he wouldn't be scared to "lift" Correa straight from Double-A at some point. Analysis: Spencer Silva
