Dillon Gee (lat) is unlikely to return from the disabled list when eligible.
The original timetable had Gee returning from the disabled list by the end of May, but the pain he continues to experience is going to hold him out for a little while longer. You can put an early-to-mid June tag on it for now, but Gee is going to be re-evaluated on a daily basis before the Mets set up an additional game plan for his return.ANALYST: Howard Bender
The 76ers have waived JaVale McGee.
McGee, oddly enough, came out and said he wanted to be a "mentor" to the young players on the Sixers after arriving at the trade deadline. Just a few weeks late, McGee will be packing his bags, hoping he picks up with a contender. The seven-footer reportedly will not have to give back any money in a buyout, and is owed the remainder of his $11.2 million contract, along with $12 million next year. Analysis: Spencer Silva
