Fantasy Player Updates & News

Seahawks have terminated the contract of TE Travis Beckum.

Seahawks let Beckhum go to in order to free up space as the team signed three new players Monday. Of the three new signees, the name that stands out most is DE Cassius Marsh whom the team drafted in the 4th round (108th overall) this past draft.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

Stephen Curry scored 33 points (13-21 FGA, 2-3 FTA) going 5-for-11 from three-point range with three rebounds, six assists and one steal against the Rockets on Thursday.

Curry carried the Warriors to a quick 2-0 series lead over the Rockets with a big win on Thursday as he shot 61.9 percent from the field for his second 30-point game of the series. At this point the reigning NBA MVP can't be stopped so expect to see him perform at a high level the rest of the playoffs.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

James Harden scored 38 points (13-21 FGA, 9-10 FTA) going 3-for-6 from three-point range with 10 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and one block against the Warriors on Thursday.

Harden managed to fall just one assist shy of posting a triple-double in Thursday's loss but it wasn't enough to help the Rockets get their first win of the series. We already know what we are going to get form Harden the rest of the way, so hopefully his teammates will be able to help his case next time on the court.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Kyle Hendricks tossed a complete game shutout allowing just five hits and no walks while striking out seven batters against the Padres on Thursday.

Hendricks had his best start of the season Thursday night as he was able to bounce back from a terrible outing in which he allowed five runs in his last start. He is now sitting 1-1 with a 4.14 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 37:9 K:BB rate through eight starts, so there is some deep league value to be round in the Cubs hurler. Hendricks will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Nationals on Tuesday. Analysis: Matthew Beck

Kris Bryant went 1-for-4 connecting on his fifth home run of the season in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Padres.

Bryant has been everything fantasy owners could have asked for in the early going as he is now slashing .289/.411/.482 with five home runs and 27 RBI through his first 114 at-bats. Although his strikeouts are alarming, he is still a must-start on a daily basis while being one of the best RBI producers in the league. Analysis: Matthew Beck

John Danks coughed up five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out three batters over 5 1/3 innings against the Indians on Thursday.

Danks has struggled to get things going this season and is now sitting 2-4 with a 5.11 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and a 32:16 K:BB rate through his first eight starts. If the White Sox had another pitcher to turn to they probably would at this point, so by no means should he be trusted in any fantasy format. He will look to get back on track when he takes on the Blue Jays on Tuesday.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Danny Salazar tossed six scoreless innings allowing five hits and three walks while striking out eight batters against the White Sox on Thursday.

After a disappointing 2014 campaign Salazar has started off the new season on a high note as he is now sitting 5-1 with a 3.50 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 60:9 K:BB rate through his first seven starts. Even if his walk rate takes a hit down the stretch as long as he continues to rack up the strikeouts he is a must-start every time he toes the rubber. He will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Rangers on Tuesday. Analysis: Matthew Beck

Mike Aviles went 4-for-5 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 5-2 win over the White Sox.

Aviles had himself a day Thursday as he logged his third multi-hit game in his last seven starts. He is now slashing .323/.384/.508 with three home runs and six RBI through his first 65 at-bats, but he will have to bee more regular playing time before gaining any lasting fantasy value.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Nick Swisher went 2-for-5 connecting on his first home run of the season against the White Sox on Thursday.

Swisher has had a rough start to his season as he is now slashing .250/.328/.365 with one home run and four RBI through his first 52 at-bats. Unless his home run Thursday lights the fire needed to be successful, Swisher should remain off the radar until further notice.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

David DeJesus went 2-for-4 with a double, solo home run and two RBI on Thursday against the Athletics.

DeJesus rose his season batting average to .324 with his two-hit night. His inability to draw walks is reflected in his .367 OBP, but he remains a decent fantasy option with 13 runs and 18 RBI.  Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
