The Bears and WR Brandon Marshall have agreed on a $40 million contract extension.
Marshall was set to make $9.1 million this season in the final year of a five-year deal he signed back in 2010. Rather than let him hit the free agent market, the Bears did a good job of locking him down through the 2017 season. Now if they could just surround him with better receivers to take the pressure off.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Wilson Ramos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Nationals 2-1 win over the Cubs on Monday.
Ramos hit his third home run of the season on Monday to go with a .285 average, 13 runs and 21 RBI. Health has been Ramos’s biggest hindrance so far in his career as he has appeared in more than 100 games just once since he entered the league in 2010 but that has not stopped the production as he has hit 10+ home runs three times since 2011 and boasts a per 162 average of 22 home runs and 87 RBI which would make him one of the top offensive catchers in baseball. Ramos owners should keep their fingers crossed that this is the year he plays a full season as they will likely end up with one of the top catchers in fantasy. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
