Alex Gordon had himself a monster game, going 4-for-4 with two homers, six RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Orioles.
Gordon tripled his home run total in two swings of the bat on Sunday as he continues to have a slow start in the home run department. He is now sitting on a .268 average with three homers and 22 RBI through 164 at-bats, and if this pace lasts all season, Gordon's 54.7 AB/HR would be a new career-low while adding just one stolen base in two tries. Outside of home runs and stolen bases, Gordon still holds enough fantasy value to serve as a starter in everyday lineups nonetheless. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Nationals placed Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day disabled list with neck tightness.
Something had to be wrong with Strasburg, given his season-long struggles. He has not shown his usual control with his off-speed pitches and needs to get healthy to return to his expected dominant self, and the DL trip is a start in that direction. There is no hint that the neck issue has been the cause of his problems this season, but at least he gets to take some time off to be examined and hopefully set on track to pitch well again. Grizzlies are exploring signing center Greg Oden.
Oden, the former first overall draft pick in the 2007 draft, last played for the Heat in 2014. Knee injuries have interrupted his career, limiting him to two seasons with Portland and the aforementioned time with Miami. He may decide to attend the upcoming Grizzly free agent camp in June, but nothing is in concrete yet. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
