Ian Desmond went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Mets.

The home run was Desmond's sixth of the season and his second over his last five games. Along with the home runs Desmond is driving in runs (24 RBI) as well as scoring them (18 R), but his average and stolen bases have been a huge disappointment as he is hitting just .228 with only two steals while have been caught twice. Honestly though, for a middle infielder you are usually happy to get solid production in two, maybe three categories and you should not have expected much in the average department to begin with. So, hang tight and hope he gets some more stolen base opportunities going forward.
