Ian Desmond went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Mets.
The home run was Desmond's sixth of the season and his second over his last five games. Along with the home runs Desmond is driving in runs (24 RBI) as well as scoring them (18 R), but his average and stolen bases have been a huge disappointment as he is hitting just .228 with only two steals while have been caught twice. Honestly though, for a middle infielder you are usually happy to get solid production in two, maybe three categories and you should not have expected much in the average department to begin with. So, hang tight and hope he gets some more stolen base opportunities going forward.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Kobe Bryant is still unsure if 2015-16 will be his final season in the NBA.
“We haven’t set anything in stone and I’ve talked about it before. But could this be the last [season]? Absolutely," Bryant told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. "It’s tough to decide. It’s really tough to make those types of decisions." In a nutshell, Kobe said that he won't be able to make a decision until after the season. He wants to see how much he enjoys playing still and the only time to make that determination is after the season comes to a close. It looks like this will annoyingly drag out all season and all of next summer. Analysis: Howard Bender
Ameer Abdullah is apparently impressing during the early stages of training camp.
Abdullah has been turning heads since being selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The Lions' see him as the second coming of Reggie Bush in Joe Lombardi's offensive system. If that is true, he'll get the ball on average 10.5 times per game but most expect that number to be the bare minimum for Abdullah's rookie-year. The ADP on Ameer has him getting selected in the sixth round of most drafts. Analysis: Drew Phelps
