Michael Pineda threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Friday and reported no pain in his strained back muscle.
If Pineda is floating out there on waivers in 12 team of deeper leagues you may want to consider stashing him now as he could be return within a couple weeks, but if you wait you will likely miss out. Pineda has some risk but he also possesses more upside than most other pitchers who are floating out their on waivers.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
The Padres are actively shopping relief pitchers.
The Padres pushed left-handed reliever Alex Torres out of the door just a few days in return for minor league pitcher Cory Mazzoni. The report suggests that all relievers not named Benoit have been mounted firmly on the trade block and will be made available to the highest bidder. It makes sense, as they're currently on overload. Kevin Quackenbush, Shawn Kelley, Brandon Maurer, Nick Vincent and Dale Thayer would all be candidates for high-leverage jobs on different clubs. GM A.J. Preller's former organization, the Rangers, are in need of bullpen assistance. Analysis: Spencer Silva
Dwayne Bowe plans on revitalizing his career in Cleveland in 2015.
LOL. Literally. Bowe failed to reach 100 receiving yards in a single game last year and didn't catch a single touchdown pass. Alex Smith is no Peyton Manning, but he's significantly more capable than anyone who will be throwing the ball to Bowe in Cleveland. The Browns have brought in Josh McCown this offseason and obviously still have Johnny Manziel in tow. It wouldn't be all that surprising to see third-stringer Thad Lewis get some reps at some point. Maybe it's possible that Johnny Football is better than he looked last year and he can get a little something going with Bowe, but that seems like a long shot. Analysis: Brett Talley
