Mike Trout blasted a 3-run walk-off shot on Thursday to give the Angels a 6-5 victory over the Rays.
Trout has been slumping of late, going 6-for-31 (.194 BA) over his last seven games but five of those hits have gone for extra-bases (2 HR). He is now sitting on a .269 average with eight homers and 27 RBI through 160 at-bats while having trouble with with the strikeout (32.5 percent K Rate). Although the high strikeout rate is alarming, Trout owners have nothing to worry about as he should continue to produce quality fantasy numbers in between those swing and misses. Update: Corey Dickerson was removed from Saturday's game with a left quad injury.
While the news regarding Dickerson's plantar fasciitis was positive, he was removed after he fouled a ball off his back leg and is now day-to-day with what the team is calling a quad injury. When his leg appeared to be swollen, manager Walt Weiss opted to play it safe and remove Dickerson who had gone 0-for-3 in Saturday's game against the Giants. Consider him day-to-day for right now and figure he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender
