David Ortiz went 3-for-5 with two home runs, two RBI and three runs scored during the Red Sox' 9-4 win over the Twins on Wednesday.
Ortiz logged multiple home runs for the second consecutive night on Wednesday, having now smacked six long balls over his last nine games. He is now sitting on a .305 average with 11 homers and 25 RBI through his first 141 at-bats, which gives him his second highest AB/HR (12.8) of his career if his current pace continued. The Red Sox designated hitter should have been a staple in fantasy lineups prior to his current hot streak, but if he wasn't he sure is now. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Jarrod Parker (elbow) hit 92 mph in his simulated game on Saturday.
Parker's surgery was in March of last year, knocking him out for all of 2014. Recovery has gone well for him, and he made a big step earlier in the Spring by throwing to live hitters. This was his second Tommy John procedure, so it's not a surprise that the Athletics are taking it slow with him. Parker had a decent year in 2013, his second full season in the majors, throwing 197 innings en route to a 3.97 ERA and 134 strikeouts. He's not a viable fantasy option this year, though, due to his injury. Analysis: Ben Diamond
