Michael Pineda is playing catch at 90 feet with pitching coach Larry Rothschild on Tuesday.
On Saturday, he did have a successful game of catch from 60 feet. These are good signs but I wouldn't say anything's changed from the 3-4 week timetable when he was originally diagnosed with a right shoulder muscle injury late last month. I also wouldn't count out the chance that he could be out even longer. David Phelps will continue to fill Pineda's spot in the rotation.ANALYST: Drew Phelps
Derrick Rose will not play against the Bucks Wednesday.
Rose was doing full-contact drills Monday and participating in 5-on-5 work Tuesday. He's building up his conditioning and it shouldn't be much longer before he's back on the court. How many minutes he logs per game once he does return might be in question as the Bulls are looking more towards the playoffs than anything else. Analysis: Howard Bender
Terrence Jones (ribs, lung) wil play Wednesday.
Jones has missed the last six games with a collapsed lung, so to see him get back on the court Wednesday is great news just from a humanistic standpoint. If he can continue to shine glass as he's done throughout the season (7.3 boards per game), then he'll be a nice asset down the stretch. Analysis: Howard Bender
