Omar Infante probably won't play Tuesday against the Rockies as he continues to deal with a back injury, manager Ned Yost said.
Infante has been a bundle of injuries since the Royals acquired acquired him with ailments ranging from the shoulder to the elbow and now to the back. He's still considered day-to-day so you shouldn't be without his services for much longer; this time at least. It looks like Johnny Giavotella will get to stick around a little longer.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
