Adrian Beltre hit just his 3rd homer of the season Monday night as he went 2-for-5 with two RBI, and a run scored in the win over the Astros.
Beltre was hitting just .185 (5-for-27) in his previous seven games coming into Monday, but all three of his home runs on the season have come over that span indicating that he is finding his power stroke, which that should only continue as the temperatures increase and the ball flies out even easier.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Miguel Castro will open the season in the majors.
Castro flew under the radar in the minors last season, but is making the rare jump from A-Ball to the majors. This is thanks to his (likely) temporary move to the bullpen for the Spring, which enabled his stuff to tick up a bit in shorter outings. He's likely next in line to receive saves should Brett Cecil fail, and the 20-year old is worth keeping an eye on. Analysis: Ben Diamond
