Cole Hamels held the Mets to one run while punching out 10 batters in the no-decision Sunday.
Hamels posted his best performance of the season on Sunday after pitching seven strong innings but did not factor into the decision. He is now 0-2 with a 5.32 ERA and 1.73 WHIP through his first four starts of the season while averaging one strikeout per inning pitched (24 K). Although performances like today will likely be few and far between, this was a reminder of what he can do when he is on top of his game. He will look to keep the ball rolling when he takes on the Reds on Saturday.ANALYST: Matthew Beck
