With Craig Kimbrel unavailable, David Carpenter pitched a one-two-three ninth for his second save in the Braves' 5-2 win over the Cubs.
Kimbrel was unavailable because he pitched in the two previous games. Carpenter makes a good add in roto leagues because he will likely get some more save opportunities throughout the season and will become extremely valuable if anything happened to Craig Kimbrel.ANALYST: Mark Kaplan
Jarrod Parker (elbow) hit 92 mph in his simulated game on Saturday.
Parker's surgery was in March of last year, knocking him out for all of 2014. Recovery has gone well for him, and he made a big step earlier in the Spring by throwing to live hitters. This was his second Tommy John procedure, so it's not a surprise that the Athletics are taking it slow with him. Parker had a decent year in 2013, his second full season in the majors, throwing 197 innings en route to a 3.97 ERA and 134 strikeouts. He's not a viable fantasy option this year, though, due to his injury. Analysis: Ben Diamond
