FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Giants have officially placed Brandon Belt on the disabled list with a broken thumb.

Belt will be out 6 weeks, most likely, although he is meeting with a specialist next week and that will give us a better idea about the length of his absence from the Giants' lineup. His loss is huge, with not much else in the lineup to replace his power numbers. Although Posey is next on the depth chart at 1B, expect Hector Sanchez and Mike Morse to fill in while Belt recovers. Also, be aware that thumb injuries tend to linger and will undoubtedly affect his ability to hit for power even when he comes back.ANALYST: Ivar G. Anderson

Isaiah Thomas came off the bench to score a team high 20 points with two rebounds and five assists in the Celtics 106-101 loss to the Warriors on Sunday.

Thomas has been as advertised since being acquired by the Celtics, averaging 21.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.6 three-pointers over the past five games. The Celtics are in contention for the eight seed in the Eastern Conference and with Thomas being that go to scorer the Celtics have lacked since trading away Paul Pierce they actually have a shot at making the playoffs this year. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jae Crowder came off the bench to score nine points with 17 rebounds, two assists and one block in the Celtics 106-101 loss to the Warriors on Sunday.

Crowder turned in an impressive performance on Sunday as he grabbed a career best 17 rebounds. The Celtics had won seven of ten games coming into Sunday and Crowder has been one of the biggest contributors during that stretch as he is averaging 15.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.6 three-pointers over the past five games. Crowder is averaging 27.0 minutes per game for the month and with his increased role has found himself becoming a reliable fantasy asset in both standard and daily league formats. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Brandon Bass registered a double-double on Sunday, scoring 15 points with 12 rebounds and one assist in the Celtics 106-101 loss to the Warriors.

The injuries to Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk has opened up the starting power forward role to Brandon Bass and he has answered the bell, averaging 12.8 points and 7.0 rebounds over the past five games. With the right match-up Bass is more than capable of flirting with a double-double but for now he should continue to produce solid fantasy production as a mid tier power forward. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Klay Thompson scored 20 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in the Warriors 106-110 win over the Celtics on Sunday.

While Thompson was able to reach the 20-point plateau on Sunday he was uncharacteristically cold from three-point range as he hit on just 2-of-10 shots from beyond the arc. Thompson has been shooting much better of late, averaging 22.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.2 three-pointers over the past five games and should continue to be deployed in both standard and daily league formats. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Draymond Green registered a double-double on Sunday, scoring 14 points with 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks in the Warriors 106-101 win over the Celtics.

Like many front courts have this season Green was able to take advantage of a weak Celtics interior defense to notch his 12th double-double of the season. Green has stepped up his game of late, averaging 13.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 blocks, 1.4 steals and 1.8 three-pointers over the past fives games which would put him among the higher scoring forwards in daily leagues. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Steph Curry scored a game high 37 points with four rebounds, five assists and one steal in the Warriors 106-101 win over the Celtics on Sunday.

Curry showed why he's among the leagues elite on Sunday as he led the Warriors back from a 26 point deficit to beat the Celtics. Curry is certainly an MVP contender this season and while James Harden and Russell Westbrook have been playing at another level of late, it's Curry's Warriors that sit atop the Western Conference standings. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Derrick Williams came off the bench to score 18 points in the Kings 110-99 loss to the Blazers on Sunday.

This was a good game for Williams who has shown flashes of being a productive NBA player since being drafted No.2 overall back in 2011 but his current role on the Kings does not make him worthy of a fantasy add. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
