Russell Westbrook fell two boards shy of another playoff triple-double as he finished Friday's 118-112 win over the Clippers with 23 points, eight rebounds, and 13 assists.
Westbrook continued his playoff dominance on Friday night and is now averaging 26.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists thus far in the 2013-14 postseason. Expect the Thunder point guard to look to get the best of Chris Paul once again in Game 4. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Rams re-signed restricted free-agent Rodney McLeod.
McLeod received the Rams' highest qualifying offer, a second-round tender worth around $2.3 million. McLeod has played in every game the past three seasons for the Rams and he will likely have a similar role this season for the team. He did a little bit of everything last year, registering 72 tackles while forcing two fumbles, recovering two and notching two interceptions. Analysis: Colby Conway
Addison Russell as began playing second base in the minors which could speed up his major league debut.
The Cubs have light hitting Jonathan Herrera currently starting at second base after Tommy La Stella landed on the DL with an oblique strain. Russell was acquired in the trade that sent Jeff Samardzija to the Athletics last season and with Javier Baez away from the team to deal with the untimely passing of his sister it looks as if Russell is the next elite prospect to be called up from the Cubs system. Russell hit .350 with 39 runs, 13 home runs, 45 RBI and six stolen bases over 68 at Double-A last season and started 2015 playing for Triple-A Iowa where he's hit .297 with a home run and seven RBI over the first nine games of the season.
