Josh Gordon could face a season-long suspension after a second failed drug test months ago, this time for marijuana, sources told "Outside the Lines" on Friday.
WTH is wrong with this kid? The Browns trading down in the draft instead of nabbing the top rated wide out in Sammy Watkins looks to be an even more perplexing move if they new of this pending suspension for two months. Those of you considering drafting Johnny Manziel in your dynasty rookie league drafts may want to consider targeting Vikings draftee Teddy Bridgewater instead if Gordon in deeds end up being banned for the season as you can not count on Gordon learning his lesson and not screwing up again which could result in an even longer ban in the future. Jordan Lennerton has been assigned to minor league camp.
Lennerton hit .270 this spring but didn't show much pop in his bat. He had only three extra-base hits in 37 at-bats, but he did manage to drive in eight runs. He hit 10 home runs in Triple-A last season, but a .249 average leaves much to be desired. Fantasy owners should stay away from Lennerton for the time being. Analysis: Colby Conway
Vance Worley will start the season in the bullpen.
The competition for the final spot in the rotation was between Worley and Jeff Locke. Worley's 5.29 spring ERA outperformed Locke's 9.00, but the team wants Worley to be a stable figure in their bullpen. Worley's fantasy value takes a hit as he won't be a starter for a sneaky good Pittsburgh ball club. Analysis: Colby Conway
Update: Blazers have made the Tim Frazier signing official.
The former Penn State player will remain under contract with Portland for the rest of the season. Frazier was selected as the NBA Development League Player of the Week after averaging 20 points, 7.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game. However, Frazier won't be worth adding in leagues unless an injury bug would hit Portland. Analysis: Colby Conway
