Cardinals optioned Randal Grichuk to Triple-A Memphis.
Grichuk hit just .143 over 21 at-bats (nine games) and had just one RBI. He's one of the Cardinals of the future, so we'll definitely be hearing from him again, but he'll head back to Memphis to work on his offensive game and improve his batter's eye.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Miguel Castro will open the season in the majors.
Castro flew under the radar in the minors last season, but is making the rare jump from A-Ball to the majors. This is thanks to his (likely) temporary move to the bullpen for the Spring, which enabled his stuff to tick up a bit in shorter outings. He's likely next in line to receive saves should Brett Cecil fail, and the 20-year old is worth keeping an eye on. Analysis: Ben Diamond
