Johan Santana threw 28 pitches in two innings in an extended spring start Monday. Santana is on a five day schedule now so he will throw three innings next time out on Saturday in extended spring.

This would be such a great story to see Santana get one last shot playing at the big league level no matter what team it was with. He was getting clocked at 87-89 mph with his fastball which was a big improvement over where he was just a couple weeks ago. We could see this veteran left-hander as early as June for the Orioles. I know I'd personally love to see it.
