Glen Perkins picked up his 8th save of the season on Sunday as he pitched a scoreless ninth allowing one hit with one strikeout as the Twins defeated the Orioles 5-2.

Perkins is now 7-for-8 in save chances in 2014 and has allowed only one earned run over his last 10.0 innings of relief as he continues to be one of the better closers to own in the American League. As long as he continues to limit his walks (3 BB) while striking out batters at a high rate (13.15 K/9) there is no reason to think this hot start won't continue. He is as safe as they come as a ninth inning option moving forward.
