Freddie Freeman wore glasses Friday night due to the wind and assured everyone Saturday that his eyes are fine and he has not regressed again with the vision situation.
Freeman owners likely would not care if Freeman wears glasses every game as long as he continues to mash. So far this season Freeman is hitting .303 with six home runs and 18 RBI and looks primed to take another step towards being one of the best first basemen in the game.ANALYST: Jonathan Impemba
Dolphins LT Branden Albert on active roster for training camp.
This is great news for the Dolphins as many thought Albert would begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Albert underwent surgery for a torn ACL and MCL in November so it's safe to assume the Dolphins will ease Albert into practice. Prior to his injury, the left tackle was playing at a very high level and should give the Dolphins offensive line a huge boost. Analysis: Phil Backert
Indians recall OF Tyler Holt from Triple-A Columbus.
The Indians traded David Murphy to the Angels on July 28 which opened up a roster spot for Holt. The 26-year-old outfielder had a slash line of .286/.369/.348 with 20 stolen bases for Triple-A Columbus. Holt should provide fantasy owners with speed, but it's hard to know how valuable he is until the Indians announce how they will use Holt. Analysis: Phil Backert
Dustin Pedroia (hamstring) had an injection of platelet-rich plasma Monday. He'll be shut down for a few days.
Pedroia was rushed back from his previous hamstring injury and it appears the Red Sox will be extra careful with their star second baseman this time around. Pedroia missed nearly a month after being placed on the disabled list June 25 so it is safe to assume he will at least miss that much time again. Fantasy owners are looking at the end of August as a best case scenario for Pedroia to return which puts his fantasy value in huge jeopardy. That's a shame as Pedroia has put together a solid season with a slash line of .287/.348/.426 with nine homeruns, 34 RBIs and 35 runs scored. Analysis: Phil Backert
