Jose Calderon suffered a broken nose in the second half of Game 6 on Friday against the Spurs. He will play in Game 7.

Calderon appeared to have taken an elbow or a forearm to the nose which prompted it to bleed immediately and drip all over the court. He sat on a the bench for a few until the bleeding stopped and he went right back in. He'll throw a little tape on the snout and he should be good to go for Game 7. ANALYST: Howard Bender

Mark Trumbo is not in the Diamondbacks starting lineup on Tuesday.

Just a little match-up play for manager Chip Hale as he wants to get both Ender Inciarte and David Peralta into the lineup against Shelby Miller. Trumbo will be available off the bench. Analysis: Howard Bender

Redskins sign free agent tackle Willie Smith.

The 28-year old has been a back-up offensive lineman and will compete for that very same role while with the Redskins this season. Analysis: Howard Bender

Kevin Gausman (shoulder) threw 32 pitches in a two-inning simulated game.

With the success Gausman has seen during the simulated game, the Orioles are ready to push forward with his rehab assignment. Right now, he will head to High-A Frederick on Saturday and, barring any setbacks, he's scheduled to start for Double-A Bowie on June 11. He is expected to throw 60-to-65 pitches before he's activated from the DL. There's been some talk of him being stretched out to rejoin the rotation, but nothing has been decided as of yet. Analysis: Howard Bender

Brewers announce LF Khris Davis is expected to miss four to six weeks after knee surgery.

Davis suffered a torn meniscus, so the four-to-six week timetable is pretty standard. The team will have to keep him from pushing too hard too fast or they'll be dealing with a similar situation the Blue Jays are in with Michael Saunders. Gerardo Parra is going to be the primary replacement for Davis moving forward. Analysis: Howard Bender

Rays minor-league OF Coty Blanchard was suspended 50 games after testing positive for amphetamine.

He was hitting just .314 with one home run in Low-A ball when he got busted and will now have a black mark on his career for years to come. How this affects the Rays' view of him is not yet known. Analysis: Howard Bender

Update: Manager Joe Maddon did not rule out Jorge Soler being placed on the disabled list.

Apparently Soler's ankle issue is a bit more severe than originally reported. He's been replaced in the outfield by Kris Bryant and should he land on the disabled list, the Cubs will likely bring up another minor league outfielder. Analysis: Howard Bender

Cameron Maybin is not in the Braves lineup on Tuesday.

Maybin will miss his second-straight game with a groin issue that manager Fredi Gonzalez was downplaying Monday. Consider Maybin day-to-day but keep a close watch on this as Maybin's injury history is lengthy and his durability is always in question. Todd Cunningham is in center for Tuesday's game. Analysis: Howard Bender

Prince Shembo went through waivers unclaimed.

It's not that no one needs him, it's that no one wants him. He's been charged with animal cruelty and is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend's dog. Let's hope he never plays an NFL down ever again. This guy's a piece of crap. Even if he's found innocent, what kind of a person is he anyway that everyone involved would believe him capable of such disgustingness. Total garbage. Analysis: Howard Bender

Manager Jeff Banister says OF Ryan Rua could start rehab assignment Wednesday.

The Rangers would love to get a little power added to their bench depth, especially with the reliance on Josh Hamilton who is already banged up. If Rua starts his rehab Wednesday, he could be back as early as next week. Analysis: Howard Bender

Titans CB Brandon Harris has suffered a torn ACL in practice and will miss rest of season.

Harris would have been competing for a role in the secondary, but will not spend the year on IR and try to work his way back for the 2016 season instead. Analysis: Howard Bender

Brendan Ryan has had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Scranton.

The Yankees are bringing Ryan along slowly as there really isn't a pressing need for his return. Once he does come back, he will work out of a utility spot. Analysis: Howard Bender

Mariners also reinstated LH reliever Tyler Olson from the disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.

With the addition of Mike Montgomery to start Tuesday, there's just no room for Olson on the roster at this time. He'll sit in the minors and wait until the Mariners expand their bullpen. Analysis: Howard Bender

Mayckol Guaipe has been optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.

With the Mariners calling up Mike Montgomery to start, Guaipe becomes the expendable arm in the bullpen. He'll head back down and bide his time until the next call-up. Analysis: Howard Bender

Mariners recall LHP Mike Montgomery from Triple-A Tacoma to start Tuesday's game.

There was a time once when Montgomery was considered a prospect, but he washed out years ago. This is his first season with the Mariners and he's posted a 3.74 ERA with a 7.98 K/BB over 53 innings at Triple-A. We aren't expecting too much from him. Analysis: Howard Bender
