Evan Gattis went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored in the 5-4 loss to the Marlins on Thursday.

Gattis has been a solid source for power in the early going, with Thursday home run being his seventh of the season. Although it is unlikely he will be able to support his .286 average over the course of the season, even if he takes a big hit in that category his pure power is well worth the batting average drain that will likely occur at some point.
