FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Jacoby Ellsbury (hand) is in the Yankees' lineup on Thursday.

Ellsbury sat out Tuesday with the sore hand and the rainout Wednesday offered him up a nice second day off without missing any time. He'll return to the top of the Yankees lineup, business as usual. Though he's never faced Mariners lefty Roenis Elias, Ellsbury is batting .410 with five doubles and two triples in 39 at-bats against southpaws this year.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Nelson Cruz went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and one run scores in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Astros.

Cruz stayed hot on Monday as he is now slashing .358/.404/.830 with eight home runs and 16 RBI through his first 53 at-bats. Although this pace is certainly unlikely to be sustained long term, he is still a safe bet for 30-plus home runs and 100-plus RBI as long as he can stay healthy as he contniues to be one of the best poiwer hitters in all of baseball.  Analysis: Matthew Beck
