UPDATES & NEWS
Manny Machado was activated from the 15-day disabled list. He is not in the Orioles starting lineup for Game one, but confirmed he'll start in Game two on Thursday.
We didn't expect Machado to be active for both games but fantasy owners can feel confident about getting him active for the second. Don;t be surprised if there's a bit of rust he needs to shake off at first, but once he gets going, he should be a very productive player at a position in dire need of someone to step forward and perform.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Ravens announce extension for cornerback Jimmy Smith.
The deal is said to give him an average of just under $10 million per year. Smith was heading into the final year of his rookie contract – a reported $6.9 million option that the team picked up before last season. Considering his level of play and contributions on defense, it would have been quite the bargain but probably would have left a bad taste in the cornerback's mouth. He should be all smiles though heading into camp now with a new deal. Analysis: Howard Bender
Mirza Teletovic is listed as probable for Wednesday.
Teletovic was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolus, meaning he had blood clots in his lungs. He hasn't played since January 22nd, but he looks like he will be on the court for Wednesday's game. It would be surprising to see him play a full workload of minutes seeing as its been three months since he's last played. Regardless, his return would be a nice emotional boost to his team.
