GM John Schneider said he expects Sidney Rice (knee) ready for camp.
Rice is already more than six months removed from surgery to repair a torn ACL, so being ready for camp shouldn't be too much of an issue. He'll be present for OTAs but won't be participating in practices until further into the summer. As always, there's a certain amount of upside from Rice, but quarterback Russell Wilson has a pair of real strong targets in Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin, so Rice's role is not quite defined as of yet.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Tim Duncan (rest) will not play Friday against Denver.
The Spurs will take advantage of the holiday and give Duncan an extra day of rest and get ready for Saturday against the Hawks. The Spurs could go with LaMarcus Aldridge at center for Friday and use David West at power forward or they could just give Boris Diaw the start. Either way, those are the three players likely to see the extra work in Duncan's absence. Analysis: Howard Bender
Ziggy Ansah had 3.5 sacks on Thursday afternoon against the Eagles.
Ansah dominated with 3.5 sacks on Thursday afternoon against the Eagles, as he gave Mark Sanchez fits all throughout the Thanksgiving festivities. The game was out of reach early on, but that didn’t stop Ziggy from harassing the Philly signal caller all day long. He is clearly one of the best pass rushers in the league with little recognition, so consider him to have made his mark on Thursday, spurring him as a popular add in most IDP leagues. Calvin Johnson caught eight passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns on Thursday afternoon against the Eagles.
Megatron put on a show against the Eagles on Thanksgiving, reminiscent of what Dez Bryant did to them in December of last year, as he caught six balls for 113 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson finished with eight catches for 93 yards and three touchdowns, effectively putting this game out of reach before it really even got underway. For the sake of fantasy owners, hopefully this is something that the most intimidating receiver in the game can build off of, especially headed into the Lions Week 13 matchup against the Packers.
