Antonio Brown has fired agent Drew Rosenhaus, he is considering hiring Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports.

Brown, who signed a six-year $43-plus million dollar contract back in July of 2012, is under contract with the Steelers all the way through the end of the 2017 season. So, Brown's decision to possibly change agents may have more to do with gaining off-field notoriety then anything else. ANALYST: Michael Pichan

Diamondbacks recalled LHP Keith Hessler from Triple-A Reno.

Hessler was recalled to provide a little depth in the bullpen. In his last outing he surrendered four hits and three earned runs over 1/3 of an inning verse the Cincinnati Reds on August 22nd.  Analysis: Jerry Colvin

CC Sabathia (knee) threw a bullpen session on Wednesday with no reported problems.

This is the second time he has played catch since finding himself on the disabled list. It appears unless the Yankees go to a six man rotation there is little room for him which could slow his return. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Mariners optioned 1B/DH Jesus Montero to Triple-A Tacoma.

This comes as no surprise as Montero is 2-for-19 over the last 14 days with eight strikeouts and has batted a miserable .200 with two home runs on the season. Logan Morrison should see increased playing time with his demotion. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Brain McCann is not in the Yankees starting lineup Tuesday.

He will get a scheduled day off and J.R. Murphy will get the start in the seven spot. He has a .301 wOBA versus LHP and should be the minimum salary on Fanduel today. Analysis: Jerry Colvin

Kyle Schwarber was a late scratch to the Cubs lineup Wednesday.

Hopefully you had time to adjust your lineup before everything locked. There is still no word yet as to the nature or extent of whatever had him taken out of the lineup, so just consider him day-to-day until the Cubs provide an update. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Bills are reportedly discussing releasing quarterback Matt Cassel.

The legend of Tyrod Taylor grows. Cassel was actually considered the starting quarterback for the Bills for a fleeting moment, but with the emergence of Taylor, the Bills seem to think that Cassel is expendable. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but it seems to be in the works. Analysis: Howard Bender

Josh Johnson believes he can begin a rehab assignment this weekend.

He's been throwing bullpen sessions and simulated games without issue, so the Padres will see how he fares in the minors. He's only going to serve as a reliever right now, so even if he does get a call-up here in September, he's not going to have much in the way of fantasy value. Analysis: Howard Bender

Ricky Rubio (ankle) has been fully cleared to play.

Rubio had arthroscopic surgery on his ankle back in April after the injury kept him out of action for most of the 2014-15 season. With him receiving clearance, the Timberwolves can now move forward and their expectations of having him ready for the start of training camp should be met. Analysis: Howard Bender

Athletics option Cody Martin to Triple-A Nashville.

Martin was pasted for five runs over just two innings Tuesday, so with there still being time left in the Triple-A season, the A's thought it best for him to continue throwing regularly in the minors rather than getting sporadic work in the majors.  Analysis: Howard Bender

Saints release WR Nick Toon Wednesday.

It was a bit of a surprise, but with the emergence of Brandon Coleman and the lack of development for Toon over the last two seasons, the Saints feel comfortable with their depth and will let him go. He should find work with another team at some point. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Panthers reached a two-year contract extension with quarterback Derek Anderson, the team announced Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Anderson locks in as Cam Newton's back-up for a little while longer. He's got waiver wire potential should anything happen to Newton, but only in deep leagues and only as a bye-week replacement. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jorge Soler (oblique) still believes he can return before the end of the season.

Soler hit the DL on August 24 so it's going to be close for the outfielder if he wants to return before the end of the regular season. If he does, it's probably going to be closer to mid-to-late September given the nature of oblique injuries. Analysis: Howard Bender

Hanley Ramirez is not in the Red Sox starting lineup Thursday.

Ramirez will miss his sixth-straight game with his current shoulder surgery which puts Rusney Castillo in left field for Wednesday's matinee against the Red Sox. The team is still reluctant to put him on the DL but they did say that he will no longer play the outfield. Consider him day-to-day still and expect the Red Sox to update his condition and potential move to first base. Analysis: Howard Bender

Adeiny Hechavarria exited Wednesday's game versus the Braves with a left hamstring injury.

It looked like Hechavarria tweaked his hamstring while trying to beat out a bunt single. We won't know more until after the game and we hear from the Marlins' manager Dan Jennings. Check back for more details.  Analysis: Drew Phelps
