Reds hope to have Mat Latos throwing off the mound within a week.
While rehabbing his knee, Latos ended up straining the flexor mass in his forearm which shut him down completely. He's been throwing off flat ground and just started playing catch last week. He should throw off a mound soon and manager Bryan Price said that he would only need two or three bullpen sessions before facing live hitters. He's still a couple of weeks away though. You've weathered the storm this far, so what's another couple of weeks?ANALYST: Howard Bender
Zach Miller caught two passes on seven targets for 10 yards and a TD on Thursday night vs Green Bay.
Miller got the start in place of the injured Martellus Bennett on Thursday night. In all, he finished with two catches and a touchdown on seven targets, looking mediocre, however doing his best with the hand he was dealt. Anyone who started him in daily leagues could have expected better, however it is a bit spoiled to come away with much more than a TD as a definite backup. Consider him a wise play on Thursday night, and a keen start going forward at least until Bennett comes back healthy. Analysis: Dom Murtha
