Freddie Freeman went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored against the Reds on Saturday.

Freeman is now 4-for-8 over his last two games after going hitless in his previous 12 at-bats. He has reported issues with his vision once again, which has been a problem in the past, but fantasy owners should have no issues with his production thus far. He is now sitting on a .352 average with six homers and 16 RBI through 88 April at-bats. ANALYST: Matthew Beck

Update: C.J. Wilson has announced he is destined for surgery and could be out for the season.

Once his diagnosis was released, it seemed possible that he would need surgery to fix up his elbow. At this point in the season, it is entirely likely that he would not be active again until 2016, depending on how intrusive the procedure ends up being. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan said he has spoken to free agent guard Evan Mathis' agent.

Mathis was cut by Philadelphia after sitting out the Eagles' entire offseason program. He is a top-rated offensive linesman, and will likely generate interest among several teams, including the Jets. He was dissatisfied with his contract situation in Philly so look for him to get a big payday wherever he signs.  Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Brian Dixon returned to practice Saturday after missing Friday but only did work on the side.

Dixon is not going to be a starter at corner, but has a great chance to stick around again as the fourth or fifth cornerback on the Saint defensive squad. He has been out for undisclosed reasons so far in camp. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Marques Colston was limited and only participated in the walkthrough Saturday.

The Saints are taking it easy with their veteran wide receiver. He was placed on the PUP list early in the week with an undisclosed injury, but even limited participation will be welcomed at this early point in camp. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Update: C.J. Wilson has a left elbow impingement secondary to arthritis.

While being able to put a label on his problem is nice, it does not give any clue to his timetable as far as returning to action. It is possible that the condition may require surgery to resolve, further pushing back his return to duty. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Rookie TE Clive Walford is not at practice Saturday for a second straight day.

Walford was the early favorite to serve as the starting TE in Oakland over Mychal Rivera. He is going to need to get on the field, however, to demonstrate his ability to stretch the field and his blocking skills. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Dannell Ellerbe sat out his second morning of practice on Saturday, after missing both of Friday's sessions.

Ellerbe was a disappointment in Miami, even before his hip injury ended his season early. He was sent to New Orleans in the Kenny Stills trade. He is anticipated as starting at inside linebacker, but needs to get on the field to secure his role. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Tevin Coleman had first-team repetitions in practice Saturday.

The Falcons are giving him every shot early on to be an important part of the Atlanta running game. Davonta Freeman is the odds-on favorite to lead the rushing attack, but if Coleman progresses well in camp, it may become more of a committee approach than fantasy players would prefer. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Sio Moore has been taken off the PUP list.

Moore was recovering from hip surgery, that he underwent last February. The surgery is considered to be a major, not a minor procedure. He did rack up 90 tackles last season despite missing five games, so getting him back for the beginning of the season is a priority for the Raider defense. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Willie Colon has been activated from the Active/PUP list and will participate in practice Saturday.

Colon was sidelined with a knee problem, but is now apparently ready to take part in training camp. The oft-penalized offensive lineman will likely man one of the guard slots for the Jets in 2015. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
