Derrick Rose (shoulder) will play Wednesday.
Every basketball fan held their collective breathe when they saw Rose go down in Game 1. He ultimately suffered a shoulder stinger but was able to walk it off and did not seem to bothered by it after the game. Rose had a terrific Game 1 in scoring 25 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers. It is good to know that he'll play on Wednesday in Game 2. Analysis: Drew Phelps
Chris Paul is listed as questionable for Game two.
Coach Doc Rivers expects Paul to play at some point in this series but right now he will be another game-time call for Game 2 on Wednesday night. The Clippers had to rely on Austin Rivers for the majority of the ball-handling duties while Blake Griffin took the team on his back with a triple-double performance. Analysis: Drew Phelps
Jake McGee, who is coming off elbow surgery, will join Triple-A Durham Tuesday night.
Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters that he would have McGee work multiple innings and on back-to-back days over the weekend before the team would consider activating him. It looks like it will be a couple more weeks before before we see the left-hander with the Rays. McGee posted a 1.89 ERA in 71 1/3 innings last season but needed elbow surgery in December. He should be saving games for Tampa Bay by mid-to-late May. Analysis: Drew Phelps
Philip Rivers says trade talk didn’t come from his side.
This whole situation has been much to do about nothing. Rivers said he planned to play out his contract which expires after 2015 instead of sign an extension which caused rumors to swirl. "A lot of moving parts and lots to think about. Location, family, team … All I can say at this point regarding an extension is I’m willing to listen to anything. I’m also willing to play it out. I’m just fired up to be the Chargers QB in 2015," Rivers said. Analysis: Drew Phelps
