Angel Pagan dismissed people's concerns over his knee and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.
Pagan spent most of the Thursday off-day receiving treatment for his bruised knee and happily put his health on display, legging out two hits and swiping a base as well. He is now batting .337 with one home run with 12 RBI and four stolen bases. Obviously he won't stay this hot all year but you may as well ride the wave until it breaks.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Stephen Piscotty went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday’s 6-4 loss to the Cubs.
Things definitely looked promising for the Cardinals when Piscotty gave the team an early 2-0 lead with with one swing of the bat in the top of the first inning. However, the offense largely dried up for the Cardinals after that and their season is now done. Piscotty was simply outstanding in this NLDS, going 6-for-16 with three homers, a double, six RBI and five runs scored. The sweet-swinging rookie has quickly made a name for himself in St. Louis and around the league. Analysis: Nate Miller
Ravens cut CB Rashaan Melvin on Tuesday.
Melvin started some games late last year for Baltimore, including some playoff games. But after being injured in the preseason and getting benched at halftime of Week 3, he just lost favor with the coaching staff. This isn't your run-of-the-mill no name being cut, so the Ravens are shaking things up a bit. Analysis: Brett Talley
