Fantasy Player Updates & News  2016 MLB Draft Guide Is Here!

James Harden scored a game-high 37 points in the win over the Blazers in overtime. The Rockets are now down two games to one after Friday's win.

With their backs against the wall, you can always count on Harden to come up with a big game for the Rockets. He added in nine rebounds, six assists and two steals as well which helped make up for the fact that he only shot 37-percent from the floor.ANALYST: Howard Bender

Yangervis Solarte is expected to be the Padres opening day third basemen this season.

Solarte hit .270 with 14 home runs and 63 RBI in 152 games for the San Diego Padres in 2015. He is worth a late-round flier in most drafts, given that he should get an ample amount of at-bats at the hot corner. Analysis: Colby Conway

Padres sign infielder Skip Schumaker to a minor league deal.

The 36-year-old will likely serve as nothing more than organizational depth at this point of his career. In 131 games for the Reds last season, Schumaker hit .242 with one home run and 21 RBI. It's safe to say that he is irrelevant for fantasy owners in the 2016 season. Analysis: Colby Conway

Trail Blazers forward Moe Harkless starts the second half in place of Meyers Leonard.

Portland struggles enough as it is covering big men, but things will get a tad tougher without Leonard on the court. Harkless will pick up some extra minutes in this outing. Analysis: Colby Conway

Grizzlies forward Jeff Green is starting the second half in place of the injured Marc Gasol.

Along with Zach Randolph, Green will likely see some extended run in the second half of tonight's contest. Hopefully the foot injury doesn't keep Gasol off the court for more than a game or two. Analysis: Colby Conway

Marc Gasol will not return after suffering a foot injury.

Gasol had 11 points, three boards and two assists in just 11 minutes before exiting with a foot injury. This is a tough blow to many DFS players, because it was a great matchup for the big man in Memphis. Zach Randolph will see some extended run during Gasol's absence. Analysis: Colby Conway

Kevin Love has returned to the locker room and has checked back into the game for the Cavaliers.

This shoulder injury must not have been anything serious, which is great news, as fantasy owners need him out there on Monday after he missed Saturday's game against the Kings. Unfortunately for fantasy owners though, with only five minutes left in the game, Love has struggled mightily from the floor and only has 11 points and five rebounds.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Marc Gasol heads to locker room with apparent injury.

The apparent injury seems to be a knee issue that he was very concerned with when he limped to the locker room. An update is sure to follow here, but don't expect positive news when he was already playing on what many were considering only one leg for the past couple of weeks.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Kevin Love has gone into the locker room with an apparent shoulder injury.

Very frustrating news for fantasy owners, as Love just made his return from a quad injury that forced him out of Saturday's game against the Kings. Hopefully this turns out to be nothing serious, but when it comes to Kevin Love, you can never be too cautious. An update on his condition is sure to follow.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) has come back out of the locker room and rejoined the team in their huddle. He will return to Monday's game.

Good news here, however it is still unclear when he will return to action. Going forward, fantasy owners should continue to keep some eyes on Nurkic despite his low production because there is some talent there that might eventually emerge. If he can polish his game up a little bit more, while getting into better game shape, Nurkic might have himself a nice little NBA career.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Jusuf Nurkic fouls to get himself off the court. He's hurt and limping off the court straight to the locker room.

Nurkic has been an emerging defender of late, while his offense is even coming around as well. This injury would be disappointing to those expecting him to continue on a upward trajectory, after struggling early on this season.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Marc Gasol (right foot) will play and start in Monday's game.

Gasol has been playing through a bad foot for some time now, and while his production has been down this season, the Grizzlies are much better with him than without him. Once this foot eventually manages to heal, expect him to improve with his jump shooting and as a rotationall defender.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

James Michael McAdoo (sprained toe, left foot) is doubtful for the Warriors Tuesday night.

No matter, as McAdoo is a fantasy non-entity fixated on the very end of the Warriors bench when healthy. Consider other reserve forwards who actually have a chance at some playing time.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Meyers Leonard will start for injured Noah Vonleh on Monday.

He offensively plays like a stretch four, providing plenty of space for the Blazers guards to operate, however on defense Leonard is rather stout considering his inconsistent playing time. With Vonleh out, Leonard will be expected to play more often, while providing the Blazers with some much-needed size in the frontcourt. Because of his above-average three-point shooting for his size, Leonard might be worth a look in very deep leagues, or for daily players who are strapped on a very tight budget on Monday night. Analysis: Dom Murtha

Arrieta, Britton and Smyly all agreed to terms with only Smyly needing an actual arbiter to fix the player’s price in 2016. Meanwhile Clippard is a D’back, Gallardo is still searching for an employer and Ryu isn’t healthy – still.
