The Cardinals do not plan to send rehabbing right-hander Jason Motte out on a Minor League rehab assignment until next month, general manager John Mozeliak said.
We were originally led to believe that Motte was going to be back by mid-May, but now it would appear that he's looking at closer to the end of the month depending on when they actually send him on his assignment. Once he returns, he is expected to settle into an eighth-inning set-up role and will be an excellent source for holds.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Bills are expected to release Mario Williams.
It was obvious that he was not fitting into the defensive scheme being employed by Rex Ryan and his staff. At 31 years of age, he still should have some skills left to devote to another team that will utilize his pass rush and tackling abilities. Look for him to catch on with another team if Buffalo decides to cut him loose. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
DeMarcus Ware said that he intends to continue playing.
Ware has been quoted as saying that "he's got a lot of gas left in the tank," so this announcement comes as no huge shock. Playing opposite Von Miller help to revitalize his game, as he snagged 7.5 sacks in 11 regular season games and 3.5 in three post season games, with two of those coming in the Super Bowl last Sunday.
