Raiders traded Terrelle Pryor to the Seahawks.
Did not expect there to be much of a demand for Pryor, as he would have been released by the Raiders if they could not find a trade partner. He has some serious athletic ability but doesn't grade out as a good starting option, so moving to Seattle with Tarvaris Jackson ensconced as the clear number two QB means he will have to beat out competition in training camp to stick around as the number three QB. The Seahawks must have had some interest in grabbing him as they would not have stood a chance to nab him off waivers given his cap friendly $705,000 salary.ANALYST: Ivar G. Anderson
Chris Carter went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the Astros 6-3 loss to the White Sox on Friday.
Carter has a six game hitting streak going which has helped raise his batting average from .157 to .185. Carter owners have to understand the type of player he is and know that while he has outstanding power there will be plenty of strikeouts and a low batting average. Those hoping for a repeat performance of 2014 should be reminded that he had 13 home runs and a .184 batting average heading into July before mashing 24 home runs over the final three months of the season.
