After inciting a bench-clearing brawl early in the game, Gerrit Cole went on to allow just one run on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts over eight innings against the Brewers on Sunday.
It hasn't been the start fantasy owners expected from Cole, but Sunday's performance was a sign of good things to come. He is now sitting 2-1 with a 3.67 ERA through his first four starts, having taken the ball into the sixth inning in each start. He will look to build off of this performance on against the Cardinals on Friday.ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Julio Jones did not practice Monday.
Jones is still dealing with a lingering hamstring injury and while he was able to play Sunday, there is concern this week with the short turnaround for the Thursday game. Consider him day-to-day and stay on top of all the latest news before making your final lineup decision. Analysis: Howard Bender
Cecil Shorts thinks he'll play against Jacksonville.
Shorts missed Thursday's game with a shoulder injury but both he and the team believe that he will be able to play this week. With DeAndre Hopkins being the clear-cut No. 1 and with the emergence of Jalen Strong and Keith Mumphrey, it's difficult to see Shorts getting enough work to be a productive fantasy play. He'll still see a few targets if he's on the field, but he'll be hit-or-miss. Analysis: Howard Bender
